Upgraded 2025 Leapmotor C10 Leaked Through Chinese MIIT Filing

This 'upgraded' version of the Leapmotor C10 leaked through MIIT documents filed by the automaker recently, and it reportedly packs a peppier e-motor outputting 295 HP.
China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) once again continues to become a key source to leak yet another new - or in this case, an updated - electric vehicle (EV) offering made locally in China. This time, it the updated 2025 model year (2025MY) iteration of the Leapmotor C10.
As a refresher, Leapmotor is being marketed overseas through the Leapmotor International joint-venture that it established with global automaking giants Stellantis. Closer to home, the brand is distributed by Stellantis Malaysia and currently sees the C10 model as its sole offering.

A rear image of the supposed 'upgraded' 2025MY variant of the Leapmotor C10 filed with the MIIT.
The latest leak from MIIT as published by CarNewsChina reveals that the updated 2025MY Leapmotor C10 model filed received a significant upgrade underneath – it now packs a more powerful e-motor with a claimed 295 HP (220 kW) output.
In contrast, the existing domestic Chinese market version of the Leapmotor C10 offers just 228 HP (170 KW) whilst the overseas version that’s also marketed here in Malaysia since Oct last year boasts a claimed 215 HP (160 kW).

Further documents filed indicate minor exterior styling tweaks applied to this supposed 2025MY version. Note the updated ADAS sensor too.

Apart from which, the leaked filing documents doesn’t reveal much other than a slew of minor exterior styling tweaks – new wheels, reshaped side mirrors, revised taillight lens, updated privacy glass panels for the rear doors, and what appears to be upgraded optical sensors up front.
That last bit perhaps indicate a slightly enhanced Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) package coming to the 2025MY model that Leapmotor filed with the MIIT, though this remains to be seen still.

The current version of the Leapmotor C10 marketed here in Malaysia that boasts a WLTP range of 424 KM and RM159,000 price tag.
Presently, the Leapmotor C10, positioned as a premium D-segment EV crossover offering with a claimed 424 KM WLTP range yielded by its 69.9 kWh battery pack, is marketed locally by Stellantis Malaysia with a retail price tag of RM159,000 before rebates or dealer discounts.
Expect more details once this supposedly upgraded new model – or perhaps variant – of the Leapmotor C10 officially debuts in China in the coming months.
