Chery Set to Showcase New Hybrid System at Auto Shanghai 2025

Chery’s new Super Hybrid system will make its debut at the upcoming Auto Shanghai 2025, alongside other lifestyle innovations.

Just like other Chinese automakers, Chery is also gearing up for the upcoming Auto Shanghai 2025, as the Wuhu-based marque is set to reveal its exhibition for the motor show, known as Chery Life. This exhibition will combine innovations in hybrid powertrains, AI ecosystems, and user-centric spatial design, promising to offer a glimpse into the future of smart and sustainable mobility.

By far the biggest highlight of this exhibition is the unveiling of the brand’s new hybrid powertrain technology, known as the Chery Super Hybrid (CSH). This fifth-gen dedicated hybrid system by Chery is a result of decades of research and hard work, backed by a global R&D system spanning eight centers with more than 300 advanced laboratories.

Among the things achieved by the new CSH system is thermal efficiency of up to 44.5%, which has set a new benchmark for hybrid powertrains around the world. Also new here is the Stepless Super Electric Hybrid DHT, which promises to deliver powerful yet smooth acceleration, capable of completing a 0-100 KM/H sprint in just 4.26 seconds.

With great hybrids come great batteries, and the ones primed in the CSH can operate reliably in extreme temperatures from 35°C to 60°C across nine working modes. These batteries are then protected by a special Guardian Battery Safety Protection System, which adds multiple layers of security and peace of mind for drivers.

Visitors to the Auto Shanghai 2025 show can check out Chery’s new CSH system in a full lineup of products, including models from Chery’s Tiggo SUV lineup like the Tiggo 7, Tiggo 8, and the Tiggo 9 flagship.

Beyond the new hybrid setup, the Chery Life experience at Auto Shanghai 2025 will also include several lifestyle-integrated innovations, such as numerous smart charging solutions, ranging from home charging stations to card-based public chargers. Not to forget, a new line of camping-ready accessories and modular vehicle layouts will also be presented to demonstrate the flexibility of Chery SUVs.

Closing off the Chery Life exhibition are several of Chery’s AI-driven innovations, including its in-house developed AI robot known as AiMOGA, alongside its robotic canine companion. These smart companions will perform welcome acts, dances, and interactive games—while also functioning as AI-powered shopping assistants.
