MBSJ Temporarily Closes One Lane On Persiaran Harmoni in Putra Heights

Map detailing the temporary one-lane closure on Persiaran Harmoni near the Putra Heights blast zone by MBSJ. This takes affect from today (Monday, April 7).
Heads up for residents and commuters that frequent the Persiaran Harmoni stretch of road that that spans close to the recent Putra Heights gas pipeline blast area. The Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) announced late yesterday that it will temporarily close one lane for said stretch of road.
In its announcement posted online via Facebook, MBSJ says the temporary lane closure starts today (Monday, April 7, 2025). It adds that the closure was prompted by the need to control the situation in the area where the April 1 blast occurred.
Specifically, the council detailed that the one-lane closure applies from the direction of the Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP) leading into Putra Heights. The lane on the opposing stretch from Putra Heights towards LDP will be converted into a contra-flow lane instead.
The latter is aimed at allowing traffic to run efficiently in both directions. MBSJ didn’t specify how long this temporary lane closure will last, though it is worth noting that investigation and recovery efforts by local authorities near ‘ground zero’ are still underway, hence the limited access.
This is the latest change to road-going traffic in and around the disaster zone. As a refresher, the gas pipeline blast saw over 277 homes affected, with roughly 399 vehicles damaged by the blaze caused by said blast.
