ChargeSini launched its latest EV charging station at Mayang Mall in Kuala Terengganu, marking a key expansion into the East Coast and bringing high-speed charging access to one of the region’s most prominent shopping and leisure destinations.

Developed with the same convenience-first approach as its urban locations, the Mayang Mall station is equipped with two 60 kW SangiTech DC fast chargers, each featuring dual CCS2 nozzles.

Together, these chargers can serve up to four EVs simultaneously across four dedicated electric vehicle charging bays (EVCBs), offering flexibility for drivers even during peak hours.

The chargers are located at the Lower Ground level of Mayang Mall, with clear signage and easy access from the main entry points. As with other ChargeSini installations, the station is fully integrated with the ChargeSini app, which handles everything from charger activation to payment, session tracking and support.

Charging is priced at RM1.39 per kWh, with a minimum fee of RM5 applied per session. When both nozzles of a charger are in use, the 60 kW output is split equally, providing 30 kW to each vehicle.

To ensure proper usage and discourage misuse, each bay is fitted with automated parking barriers that can only be lowered through the app. This feature prevents non charging vehicles from occupying charging spaces.

Drivers also are given a 15-minute grace period to move their vehicle after charging is completed, after which an idle fee of RM2 per 5-minute block is imposed as a deterrent to not hog the charging bay.

With the opening of this station, ChargeSini now commands the largest EV charging footprint in Kuala Terengganu. The Mayang Mall site joins two other nearby fast-charging facilities within the city: the 60 kW dual-nozzle DCFC at Mydin Mall Gong Badak and the 40kW dual-nozzle DCFC at Proton Indahsari Otomobil.

Together, these three strategically located stations form a reliable high-speed charging corridor for both Kuala Terengganu residents and intercity travellers passing through the East Coast.

ChargeSini’s latest move in Kuala Terengganu not only reinforces its position as Malaysia’s largest charge point operator by plug count, with over 900 plugs across 400 stations nationwide.
