Suzuki Has Updated Its Logo for the First Time in 22 Years

Japanese automaker Suzuki has updated its logo for the first time in 22 years, featuring a cleaner, bolder design.
Suzuki joins the long list of automakers who recently updated their logo, with the Japanese automaker refreshing theirs for the first time in more than two decades.
Compared to the previous version, the new Suzuki logo still retains the iconic ‘S’ silhouette that has been used since 1958, although the overall design now looks smoother and flatter with fine contours tracing the edges.

The old Suzuki logo's chrome finish has been replaced with a new silver hue.
While it is barely noticeable, Suzuki has also swapped the glossy chrome finish for a new “high-brightness silver” hue that is meant to resemble matte aluminium, with the automaker noting that this choice is somehow more environmentally friendly.
To go with the redesigned logo, Suzuki has also introduced its new corporate slogan that reads ‘By Your Side,’ which is supposed to embody its “unwavering commitment since its founding to focus on the customer, as well as new possibilities for the future.”
Commenting on this new emblem, Suzuki Representative Director and President Toshihiro Suzuki said, “The new emblem embodies Suzuki's long-held commitment to create valuable products by focusing on the customer, as well as our determination to take on new challenges for the future.
“Under the corporate slogan ‘By Your Side,’ we will continue to walk alongside our customers by providing infrastructure mobility closely connected with people’s lives, contributing to the realization of a sustainable future,” the president continued.

As of now, Suzuki has yet to put the new logo on any of its ongoing cars, but the Hamamatsu-based automaker did say that the new emblem will make its debut on several new concept models, which will be shown at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show 2025.
Besides Suzuki, several major automakers like BMW, Audi, and Ford have also given their iconic badges some updates in recent times. That said, most of these updates are quite minor and not as radical as what Kia did with its new emblem a few years back.
