KTMB Adds Weekend ETS Trips Between Kluang, KL Sentral

KTMB_Class_92_SCS_14_KL_Sentral_Junction-(1)-full_normal.jpg Starting Oct 10, Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTMB) will roll out two new Electric Train Service (ETS) routes connecting Kluang and KL Sentral, giving travellers more options for a smoother ride to the capital.

The additional services will run every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, offering 315 seats on each trip, including a Business Class coach for those who prefer a premium experience.

"The move is meant to ease weekend travel demand while complementing the existing daily schedule

"For Kluang residents, it means less time spent in traffic and more flexibility for work, leisure, or family trips to Kuala Lumpur," KTMB said in a statement.

The first train departs Kluang at 9:33AM, arriving at KL Sentral at 1:00PM The return trip leaves KL Sentral at 5:35PM and gets back to Kluang at 9:08PM. 

The Kluang–KL Sentral ETS line was first introduced on August 30 as a daily service. 

In less than a month, it has already carried 10,873 passengers with weekday ridership at 4,461 and weekend numbers climbing to 6,412.

KTMB says it will continue monitoring demand and is open to adding more trips during festive seasons, school holidays, and long weekends.

“This expansion reflects our commitment to providing flexible, comfortable and efficient travel options for passengers,” the rail operator added.
