BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe

The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is currently on its 2nd generation, and there is only one variant available; the 218i M Sport. The vehicle is priced at RM 211,367. This price does not include insurance but is inclusive of the sales and service tax. The 218i M Sport highlights the versatility, comfort and class. 

The design is a modern and futuristic digital cockpit layout that gives a more commanding feel to the vehicle.

The instrument cluster is made up of a 5.1-inch analogue full LCD multi-function digital display. 

The car comes with 5 seats for maximum comfort. All seats are finished in Dakota leather upholstery. Both the driver and front passenger seats come with power-adjustable sports seats and the driver’s side comes with memory function features. Not forgetting that the rear seats come with 40:20:40 split folding. 

Both front and rear passengers will be spoiled with maximum comfort as the 2-Series was designed for the individuals’ greatest convenience. The vehicle will leave no shortage of leg space for Asian passengers that have fully extended their seat. 

The car has a glove compartment that can fit not only the car manual and service booklet but also is able to fit some essential items such as facemasks and sanitizers or even tissues for a quick fix. One of the USB and 12-volt power socket located in between the two front cupholders, one USB port located in the front centre armrest, and two more USB ports are located below the rear passenger’s air-vent. The final 12-volt power socket is placed in the boot.

The front headlamps are LED projection units that also include fog lights, built-in LED daytime running lights and dynamic indicators.

The 218i M Sport comes with 18-inch double-spoke style 819 M alloy wheels. 

The 218i M Sport has the following active safety features; anti-lock braking system, traction control, electronic brake distribution, brake assist, lane departure warning, lane-change warning, autonomous emergency braking, rear collision prevention, and speed limit information. 

The passive features include eight airbags, ISOFIX in the second-row child seat anchors, reverse camera as well as front and rear parking sensors. 

There are two DMS profiles available which are COMFORT mode, ECO PRO mode or SPORT mode, for the driver to choose from to suit their needs.

The 218i M Sport is equipped with a 1.5 litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine and produces 140 hp at 4,600 to 6,500 rpm and 220 Nm of torque at 1,480 and 4,200 rpm. 

The 218i M Sport comes with a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.

The 218i M Sport comes with touchscreen audio display system, automatic headlamps, adaptive cruise control, foldable rear seat, power door locks with remote keyless entry system, turn signal in mirrors, electrochromatic inside rearview mirror, electric power steering, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, dual illuminating vanity mirrors. 

The rear air vent is located behind the front occupant’s centre arm rest.
