Sime Darby Motor acquired the Hyundai brand after acquiring Hyumal Motor Sdn Bhd (now known as Sime Darby Hyundai Sdn Bhd) and Hyundai Berjaya Sdn Bhd, also known as Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors Sdn Bhd, the official importer and distributor of Hyundai vehicles and spare parts in Malaysia. The locally assembled models are manufactured at Inokom’s plant in Kulim. Some of its models include the Hyundai Elantra, Kona, Sonata, Grand Starex, Santa Fe, i30N, Tucson, Ioniq and many more.
