Hyundai Staria 10-Seater

The brand’s official distributor, Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM), is offering the Staria 10-seater in three variants, Lite at MYR 179,888, Plus at MYR 196,888, and Max at MYR 209,888.

Each purchase is covered by a two-year/50,000 KM standard warranty. Opting for the extended warranty (MYR 10,000), upgrades it to a five-year/300,000 KM and three-year/50,000 KM free service plan.

Exterior colours e.g., Abyss Black Pearl and Creamy White for all variants, the Lite adds on Shimmering Silver Metallic, and the Max adds on Graphite Grey Metallic and Moonlight Blue Pearl.

The Staria 10-seater is built with a low beltline. Hence, the dashboard is accompanied by a very large front windshield, aside from the rest of the surrounding, also fairly large cabin windows.

It gets a driver- and passenger-oriented layout, simple and very straightforward. Modern and sleek, it comes in all-black with silver trimmings around the steering wheel and gear region.

They are manual adjustable (Lite/Plus), and with driver side eight-way power adjustment and four-way lumbar support (Max). 

All variants feature a 2-3-2-3 seat layout, 60:40 split-folding, sliding and reclining second row, two sliding and reclining third row captain chairs, 60:40 split-folding third row. All rows have a full flat folding configuration. 

Also, large glass areas provide airiness to the cabin, which height is ingress and egress convenient, and is sufficient for an average school-aged child to stand upright and move about inside with ease.

The front showcases a one-piece-like bumper that features a large rectangle-shaped, wide nett-like designed full-face grille. 

Paired to the light strip positioned at the front top edge of the hood, and the square light housings located at the sides of the bumper, add a premium and futuristic finishing touch to the front fascia.

The back layout has a squarish curved profile with clean, smooth surfaces covering the boot, extending further its unique one-piece kind of silhouette.

Plus, fitted with the minimalist roof-edge spoiler, and paired with the Staria script at the centre of the tailgate makes it look very premium. 

It gets a set of Tetris-style pixel headlamps, full LED units with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) for all variants.

At the back, the tail lamps match the front’s design with full LED units for the Plus and Max variants. The Lite features a pixel-patterned light cover and bulb units instead.

The side mirrors come with electronic adjustments (Lite, Plus, Max), and blind spot-indicators (Max).

A set of 17-Inch alloy rims, wrapped in factory standard Kumho PorTran KC53 215/65 R17 tyres for the Lite and Plus variants, and a set of 18-Inches in 235/55 R18 tyres for the Max.

All variants get six airbags (driver, front passenger, side), 10 three-point seat belts (anchors, reminders, pre-tensioners), three ISOFIX points (second row), parking sensors (front, rear), 360-degree camera, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Traction Control System (TCS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) with auto-hold function, security alarm, and immobiliser.

Four drive modes available via the Drive Mode Select (DMS) function. E.g., Smart, Normal, Eco, and Sport.

Power is sent to the front wheels (2WD).

It is fitted with a 75-litre fuel tank.

The Max adds on remote control operation for remote start function, boot and doors auto open/close, smart walk-in entry system, smart sliding doors with one-touch button, driver seat eight-way power adjustment and four-way lumbar support, wireless charging system equipped with temperature sensor and cooling function, dual-zone full-auto air-conditioning system with front and rear passenger controller, and a 360-degree parking camera.

Rear air-conditioning systems for all variants, with separate controls for Max variant.

The seats are uber comfortable and the ride is smooth. Especially over long journeys with the amount of cabin space it offers along with the seating configurations and placements.

It has good sound insulation with the NVH factors accounted for. Plenty of vibration control and soundproofing materials fitted, blocking most of the exterior noises sufficiently.

Quality of the luxury-MPV’s equipment and materials installed inside and outside, really impresses with the upscale, modern design and minimalist detailing. It has a well-designed cabin with plenty of amenities, functions and of course, the space.

Overall, it offers a very smooth and comfortable drive with an adequate performance, alongside a design outlook that is a head turner on the road, and not to mention the safety suit of systems it comes with.
