Lotus Emeya

The Lotus Emeya is the marque’s fully electric four-door Hyper-GT, combining the low-slung proportions of a performance saloon with long-distance grand-touring comfort and Lotus-developed chassis technology.

The current Malaysian family comprises the Emeya 600, Emeya 600 GT SE, Emeya 600 Sport SE, Emeya 900 Sport and Emeya 900 Sport Carbon. The latest MY27 Emeya 600 introduced in March 2026 is priced at RM489,000, while the latest published prices for the remaining variants stand at RM519,000, RM599,000, RM699,000 and RM729,000 respectively.

The 600-series models produce 450 KW (603 HP) and 710 NM, while the 900-series increases output to 675 KW (905 HP) and 985 NM. All use a 102 KWH battery, with maximum WLTP range reaching 610 KM.

The Emeya’s cabin adopts a highly minimalist digital layout.

A 15.1-INCH OLED central touchscreen dominates the dashboard, while slim 12.6-INCH digital displays are positioned ahead of both the driver and front passenger.

A huge 55-INCH Head-Up Display projects driving and navigation information directly into the driver’s field of vision.

The wide floating centre console visually separates the driver and front passenger while providing storage and connectivity functions.

Physical controls remain for selected frequently used functions, while the upper console houses cup holders, charging facilities and smaller storage compartments.

A slim 12.6-INCH digital driver information display presents essential speed, energy and assistance information directly ahead of the driver.

The much larger 55-INCH Head-Up Display reduces the need to look away from the road by projecting navigation, speed and assistance information onto the windscreen.

Electrically adjustable front seats are standard.

Higher specifications add ventilation and massage functions, while the Comfort Seat Package provides additional adjustment and five massage programmes.

For MY27, the entry-level Emeya 600 has been upgraded to Jasper Nappa leather upholstery with black/dark tri-colour seat belts, replacing the previous LotusWear upholstery.

The Emeya accommodates five occupants in its standard configuration.

Its exceptionally long 3,069 MM wheelbase provides generous front and rear legroom, while the low seating position and wide cabin contribute to its grand-touring character.

An optional four-seat executive arrangement is also available on selected specifications.

A compact multifunction steering wheel integrates controls for audio, driver information and assistance functions.

Both tilt and telescopic steering-column adjustment are electrically operated, with position memory provided.

Steering-wheel controls also allow selected regenerative braking and vehicle settings to be adjusted without reaching for the touchscreen.

Storage areas include door pockets, a glove compartment, centre-console compartments and additional space beneath the floating console.

The fastback body also provides substantially more luggage versatility than a conventional three-box saloon.

The standard five-seat Emeya provides two front and two rear cup holders.

Rear cup holders are integrated into the fold-down centre armrest, providing four dedicated beverage positions throughout the cabin.

Multiple USB charging connections are positioned throughout the cabin for front and rear passengers.

Wireless smartphone charging is also provided, while additional power sockets support compatible accessories.

The cabin combines leather, microfibre, metal and premium decorative surfaces with an intentionally minimalist design.

For MY27, the Emeya 600 gains Nappa leather and configurable ambient lighting, significantly improving the visual and tactile quality of the entry-level version.

Higher variants add sportier or more luxurious trim combinations, while extensive customisation is available through Lotus’ options programme.

The standard five-seat Emeya provides 509 L of rear luggage capacity.

Selecting the optional four-seat executive rear arrangement reduces luggage capacity to approximately 426 L due to the additional rear-seat equipment and centre console.

The Emeya measures 5,139 MM long, approximately 2,005 MM wide excluding mirrors and 1,459 MM tall, with a substantial 3,069 MM wheelbase.

Overall width reaches approximately 2,241 MM including the exterior mirrors, giving the Hyper-GT an exceptionally broad and low road presence.

Up front, the Emeya adopts Lotus’ distinctive porosity-inspired aerodynamic design, featuring a low bonnet, muscular front fenders and airflow channels integrated into the body.

A distinctive active Petal grille in the lower bumper can open when cooling is required and close to reduce drag, while large corner air channels guide airflow around the front wheels.

The rear features a dramatic fastback roofline flowing into a short rear deck, giving the Emeya proportions closer to a four-door sports car than a conventional executive saloon.

An active rear wing deploys according to driving conditions to provide additional stability and downforce.

For MY27, the Emeya 600 now receives the active rear spoiler as standard rather than reserving it for more expensive specifications.

The Emeya features a distinctive split-light arrangement.

Slim double-L LED daytime running lights sit high within the front bodywork, while the main Matrix LED headlamps are positioned lower within the bumper.

Automatic high-beam operation, dynamic indicators and adaptive lighting functionality are also provided.

A slim full-width LED tail-light strip extends across the rear.

Dynamic turn indicators are incorporated into the lighting assembly, while the narrow graphic complements the Emeya’s minimalist rear styling.

Exterior mirrors are electrically adjustable, folding and heated, with position-memory functionality.

Integrated turn indicators and Blind Spot Monitoring warnings are also provided, while the housings are aerodynamically shaped to minimise disturbance at higher speeds.

The Emeya combines large friction brakes with strong regenerative braking from its dual electric motors.

For MY27, even the entry-level Emeya 600 now receives six-piston high-performance front brake callipers, available in either black or red.

Higher-performance configurations can also be specified with more advanced braking hardware, including carbon-ceramic brakes.

The latest MY27 Emeya 600 rides on 21-INCH diamond-turned alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero tyres, replacing the previous 20-inch setup.

The 600 GT SE, 600 Sport SE and 900-series models also use performance-oriented wheel and tyre packages, with staggered tyre widths to maximise grip and stability.

Active safety equipment includes ABS, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Control and Traction Control.

Also provided are Electronic Parking Brake, Auto Hold, regenerative braking and a comprehensive array of cameras and sensors continuously monitoring the vehicle’s surroundings.

Occupant protection includes front airbags, front-side airbags, curtain airbags, a front-centre airbag and driver’s knee airbag.

Five three-point seat belts, electronic rear child locks, seat-belt reminders and ISOFIX child-seat mounting points are also provided.

Selectable driving programmes include Range, Tour, Sport, Individual and Track.

These alter throttle response, steering weight, suspension behaviour, regenerative braking and drivetrain characteristics.

Performance-oriented specifications additionally benefit from more aggressive chassis calibration and enhanced torque management.

The 15.1-INCH OLED touchscreen runs Lotus Hyper OS.

The system supports navigation, Bluetooth, connected applications, Over-the-Air software updates and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Its 3D graphical interface uses high-performance processing to provide fluid vehicle animations and control displays.

The Emeya uses a sophisticated sensor package incorporating retractable LiDAR units, cameras, millimetre-wave radar and ultrasonic sensors.

Driver-assistance functions include Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Centring Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, Traffic Sign Recognition, Front and Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Rear Collision Warning.

A 360-degree camera system is standard, while the extensive hardware has been designed to support more advanced automated-driving functions as software and regulations permit.

The Emeya is equipped with a 15-speaker KEF Premium sound system as standard on the latest Malaysian specification.

A higher-end 23-speaker, 2,160-WATT KEF Reference Audio system is available on selected configurations for an even more immersive cabin audio experience.

All Malaysian Emeya variants use a dual-motor electric drivetrain, with one electric motor positioned at each axle.

The Emeya 600, 600 GT SE and 600 Sport SE produce 450 KW (603 HP) and 710 NM.

The Emeya 900 Sport and 900 Sport Carbon increase output dramatically to 675 KW (905 HP) and 985 NM.

The 600-series models use a single-ratio automatic electric transmission.

The 900 Sport and 900 Sport Carbon require just 2.78 seconds to reach 100 KM/H, with top speed increasing to 256 KM/H.

As a fully electric vehicle, the Emeya consumes no petrol or diesel.

All versions use a 102 KWH NMC lithium-ion battery and an 800-VOLT electrical architecture.

The 600-series provides up to 610 KM WLTP, while the higher-performance 900 Sport and 900 Sport Carbon offer up to 485 KM WLTP.

AC charging reaches 22 KW, while the latest Emeya supports an exceptional 420 KW DC charging rate.

Under suitable conditions, the battery can be replenished from 10-80% in approximately 15 minutes, making the Emeya one of the fastest-charging premium EVs currently sold in Malaysia.

Standard conveniences include keyless entry and operation, automatic wipers, electrically adjustable and folding mirrors, powered seats and a hands-free powered tailgate.

The latest MY27 Emeya 600 further adds Nappa leather, configurable ambient lighting, active rear spoiler and upgraded performance hardware without moving the model dramatically higher in price.

The 900 Sport Carbon additionally distinguishes itself with powered doors.

The Emeya features four-zone automatic climate control, allowing front and rear occupants greater control over their individual temperature settings.

Dedicated rear air vents provide direct airflow for second-row passengers.

The Emeya uses multi-link suspension at both axles with active air suspension and Continuous Damping Control as standard.

Its suspension continuously reacts to changing road conditions, balancing the body control expected of a Lotus with the comfort required from a long-distance GT.

The Emeya 600 provides arguably the strongest balance, producing 603 HP and 710 NM, reaching 100 KM/H in 4.15 seconds and travelling up to 610 KM WLTP from its 102 KWH battery.

The latest MY27 update makes the entry model more appealing still, adding 21-inch Pirelli-equipped wheels, six-piston brakes, an active rear spoiler, Nappa leather and configurable ambient lighting, although its price has risen from RM459,000 to RM489,000.

For outright performance, the Emeya 900 Sport and Sport Carbon push output to 905 HP and 985 NM, cutting the 0-100 KM/H sprint to an extraordinary 2.78 seconds.

Combined with 420 KW charging, air suspension, advanced active aerodynamics and its technology-rich five-seat cabin, the Emeya remains one of Malaysia’s most technically impressive electric grand tourers.
