The 2026 Porsche Macan Electric is the second-generation Macan and Porsche’s first fully electric SUV, underpinned by the dedicated Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture with an 800-VOLT electrical system.

The latest Malaysian line-up comprises five variants – Macan Electric, Macan 4 Electric, Macan 4S Electric, Macan GTS and Macan Turbo Electric – priced from RM575,000, RM595,000, RM700,000, RM775,000 and RM845,000 respectively.

All variants use a 100 KWH lithium-ion battery. Maximum output ranges from 360 HP in the rear-wheel-drive Macan to 639 HP in the Turbo, while the latest Macan GTS slots between the 4S and Turbo with 571 HP and 955 NM.

The cabin combines Porsche’s traditional driver-focused layout with a modern three-screen digital architecture.

A 12.6-INCH curved digital instrument cluster sits directly ahead of the driver, while a 10.9-INCH Porsche Communication Management touchscreen occupies the centre of the dashboard.

An optional 10.9-INCH front passenger display can extend the digital interface across the cabin.

The rising centre console incorporates physical controls for frequently used vehicle and climate functions alongside touchscreen operation.

A compact electronic drive selector is positioned near the steering wheel, freeing more space within the centre console for storage and charging facilities.

The rear-wheel-drive Macan Electric provides the greatest efficiency and longest current Porsche Malaysia-quoted range at 643 KM, while the Macan 4 adds all-wheel drive for only RM20,000 more.

The 4S and GTS provide increasingly serious performance, with the new GTS combining 571 HP, 955 NM, a 3.8-second 0-100 KM/H sprint, sports air suspension and rear-biased AWD.

At the top, the Macan Turbo delivers 639 HP and 1,130 NM, reaching 100 KM/H in just 3.3 seconds while retaining five-seat practicality and a 540 L boot.

Its 800-volt architecture and 270 KW charging remain strong, but Malaysia’s latest tax-adjusted pricing of RM575,000 to RM845,000 makes the Macan Electric considerably more expensive than when it originally arrived locally.
