Launched: Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic Coupe AMG Line – From RM469,888

The new second-gen (C254) Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic AMG Line (left) was one of two new SUVs MBM launched earlier today.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) continues revising its SUVs range locally today after launching a further two new models. Leading today’s launch was the new second generation (C254) Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic Coupe AMG Line.
Aptly, this is the sportier coupe-bodied twin of the second-gen X254 GLC 300 4Matic AMG Line that was launched earlier this year and recently localised (CKD) by MBM at its Pekan plant. For now, the model officially launches as a fully imported (CBU) offering too.

Note the sportier coupe-like roofline the GLC 300 4Matic Coupe boasts over the regular GLC 300 4Matic.
Picking up where its C253-gen predecessor left off, the new C254 model introduced today mirrors closely to what we’ve already seen and experienced in its traditional SUV-bodied X254 twin. This includes the mild hybrid (MHEV) powertrain, AMG Line interior and exterior specifications, and more.

Under the hood is a familiar 2.0-litre MHEV turbo petrol heart rated at 258 HP and 400 NM. This is paired with a 9-speed auto and AWD driveline.
Under the hood, the GLC 300 4Matic employs the same 2.0-litre 4-cyl mild-hybrid (MHEV) turbo petrol heart that outputs 258 HP and 400 NM. Like its regular-bodied twin, drive goes to all four wheels via a 4Matic all-wheel-drive (AWD) and 9G-Tronic 9-speed automatic transmission.
Altogether, 0-100 KM/H sprints are despatched in 6.3 seconds whilst enroute towards an electronically limited V-max of 250 KM/H – similar figures as what we’ve seen and experienced in the standard-bodied GLC 300 4Matic model.

AMG Line package sees the exterior don gloss black-finished contrasting exterior accents and 20-inch multi-spoke AMG wheels. Also present are a pair of Digital Light headlights flanking the prominent front grille design.
On to the exterior, AMG Line package adds stylish 20-inch AMG multi-spoke wheels, along with sportier front and rear bumpers plus contrasting exterior accents and trims treated in gloss black. Up front, the signature Mercedes-Benz grille is flanked by a pair of Digital Light headlights as well.
On board, it’s the usual Mercedes-Benz affair with a cabin richly lined in Artico man-made leather, plus the AMG Line interior specification. Besides the familiar 12.3-inch digital dash display and 11.9-inch MBUX infotainment touchscreen, the latter is also paired with a Burmester 3D surround audio suite.

On board, its the usual Mercedes-Benz affair featuring plus Artico man-made leather, the latest MBUX infotainment unit, Burmester 3D surround audio, and more.
Other premium amenities and novelties present include cabin ambient lighting, powered front seats with memory function, wireless smartphone charging pad, USB-C charging ports, as well as navigation, multimedia, and augmented reality display functions stemming from the MBUX suite.
On to safety and, besides the usual affair featuring a 360-degree parking camera and sensors array, a full-swing of active driver assist (ADAS) features are present. The latter includes Blind Spot Assist, Active Brake Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, as well as the Mercedes-Benz Pre-Safe system, amongst many.

Available as a CBU offering for now, the GLC 300 4Matic Coupe AMG Line commands RM469,888 sans insurance.
Apart from what we’ve highlighted, much of the features and amenities present in this fastback twin to the GLC 300 4Matic AMG Line are relatively similar. Apart from the sportier design, where both models differ greatly is price.
Available for orders through dealers and through MBM’s online purchasing platform, the new Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic Coupe AMG Line commands RM469,888 excluding insurance. Check out more images of the new GLC 300 4Matic Coupe AMG Line in the gallery prepared below.
