New smart #3 in range-topping Brabus form as presented at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024 (MAS 2024). Three variants will be available, with deliveries slated to start in Q3 this year.

With our in-depth First Drive and First Look reports, you’d know by now that smart Automobile brand distributors PRO-NET have officially debuted its second offering, the smart #3, at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024 (MAS 2024) during its Press Day held yesterday.

Bookings can now be placed at a nominal – and refundable – fee of RM1,000 through authorised smart dealerships nationwide, as well as online via the brand’s app.

Moreover, PRO-NET will reward the first 333 early booking customers with RM1,500 worth of exclusive smart official merchandise. As deliveries, this is slated to commence sometime in the third quarter (Q3) of this year.

New smart #3 in base Pro (top) and range-topping Brabus (bottom) as seen during its initial preview held earlier this month. The model is now opened for bookings for a nominal - and refundable - fee of RM1,000.

As detailed prior, the smart #3 is a slightly wider, longer, and sleeker-roofed twin to the smart #1.  Shown at the marque’s booth at MAS 2024 was the smart #3 in range-topping Brabus form dressed in its signature “Photon Orange’ paint too.

Like the #1, the smart #3 will see three variants available, those being a base ‘Pro’, a mid-specced ‘Premium’, and a ‘Brabus’ performance range-topper, all sporting similar mechanical specs as the #1 range too.

The only detail not revealed was price, and we reckon the next set of facts might have something to do with it.

Besides debuting the #3, PRO-NET has also revised the prices of the smart #1 Pro and smart #1 Premium variants.

With the #3’s debut at MAS 2024, PRO-NET also announced revised prices for the #1 model. Specifically for its base Pro and mid-specced Premium variants, these now command new figures of RM169,000 and RM209,000 respectively, marking RM20,000 and RM10,000 reductions.

For reference, the smart #1 Pro and Premium variants, launched back in Nov last year, were priced at RM189,000 and RM219,000 respectively. As for the range-topping #1 Brabus variant, this sees no changes, and its RM249,000 figure as launched back in Nov remains.

"By lowering the smart #1's price, we aspire to integrate customers into the smart community, fostering togetherness and enabling full immersion in our provided ecosystem, thus enhancing the Premium Ownership Experience for buyers,” said Zhang Qiang, CEO of PRO-NET yesterday.

Despite the price revision, PRO-NET has not neglected existing smart #1 Pro  and Premium variant owners, to which the firm announced that existing owners of either variants will now gain a new complimentary 4-year service package.

“This initiative underscores our dedication to going the extra mile, ensuring our customers be supported and vital to the smart community,” adds Zhang further yesterday after unveiling the new smart #3 at MAS 2024 yesterday.
