You Can Win This Tricked Out Honda Civic Type R Mugen At TAS KL 2024!
The renowned Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur (TAS KL) returns for its second edition later this year.
The Malaysian edition of the renowned Tokyo Auto Salon (TAS) tuned cars expo, known as TAS Kuala Lumpur (TAS KL), is set to return for a second round later this year for its 2024 edition, following the success of its debut running last year.
Co-organised by Muse Group Asia and the show’s official licensee Element X Strategies, TAS KL 2024 is the only overseas edition that’s officially endorsed by San Ei Corporation – owners of the original TAS show and event brand.
Adding excitement to this year's edition, show organisers recently announced that it will be giving way this tricked out 2019MY (FK8R) Honda Civic Type R Mugen to a lucky ticket holder via lucky draw.
For this year’s running, which takes place at MITEC, KL from Nov 8 to Nov 10, local showrunners mentioned have elected to raise excitement levels further by announcing a special lucky draw prize in the form of a tricked-out 2019MY (FK8R) Honda Civic Type R Mugen.
Though this is NOT the latest FL5R-gen iteration of Honda’s renowned Type R-badged hot hatch, this Mugen edition version, supplied by renowned specialists and show partners House of Type R, remains tasty and coveted as it boasts a number of key addition.
Said prize car, sourced from specialists House of Type R, features a full Mugen aerokit, Mugen taillights, 20-inch Rays TE37 alloy wheels, Mugen gear knob, as well as a performance exhaust system.
Besides a signature 2.0-litre 4-cyl VTEC turbo powertrain with 318 HP and 400 NM outputs plus a 6-speed manual transmission, this prize car also boasts 20-inch Rays TE37 alloy wheels, a full Mugen aerokit, Mugen taillights, Mugen gear knob, as well as a performance exhaust system.
To stand a chance at winning this prize car, fans need to purchase at least one TAS KL 2024 ticket and opt in for the lucky draw for an additional RM28. Both can now be done online via the official TAS KL 2024 ticketing website, or by walk-in purchase at the show venue on Nov 10 before 6PM.
Take note though that the prize car does NOT include registration, insurance, road tax and deliver costs – these are to be borne by the winner. Said prize car will also be displayed during the show and the winning draw will be announced on Nov 10 at 10PM just before the show ends.
Last year's debut show, also held at MITEC, KL, successfully attracted over 91,000 visitors across its 3-day span.
Presently, TAS KL 2024 tickets are priced at RM60 per day, or RM120 for a 3-day pass, for each adult. Tickets for kids aged between 6 and 12 years old, on the other hand, are priced at RM30 per day or RM60 for a 3-day pass, for each child.
Additionally, persons with disability and 1 accompanying caregiver are entitled to a 50% discount. As for kids below the age of 6, they enjoy free admission, but they must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
This year, show-organisers Muse Group Asia and Element X Strategies have readied a number of special ticket packages such as Express Lane tickets, VIP passes, and an exclusive Black Tag access package.
Moreover, TAS KL 2024 is poised to introduce Express Lane tickets for avid fans and show-goers wishing to beat the que, and these are priced at RM80 apeice. There are VIP passes available as well priced at RM150 per day that includes access to a VIP lounge.
For those seeking a full package, there’s also a special Black Tag access package available at RM1,500 each. Besides 3-day show access, this package includes complimentary valet parking service, along with all-day access to the Black Tag lounge with free flow of beverages.

Additionally, this exclusive premium package also grants priority preview for the TAS KL 2024 Car Auction, Meet & Greet sessions with race queens and tuners, as well as access to a private lounge where photographers and press are barred.
