MAS 2025 organisers MARii revealed today that this year's edition successfully pulled 294,062 visitors throughout its week-long running, marking a 31% increase from last year too.

The Malaysia Automotive, Robotics, and IoT Institute (MARii), organsiers of the recently concluded Malaysia Autoshow 2025 (MAS 2025), marked a new all-time highs in terms of attendees and potential sales generation.

With this year’s edition extended to a whole week (7 days) with the official Press Day included, MAS 2025 arguably successfully retained its title as Malaysia’s biggest automotive expo by pulling a total of 294,062 visitors throughout its running at MAEPS, Serdang, earlier this month.

Critically, the figure marks a 31% increase over MAS 2024’s attendance of 223,876 visitors. Show organisers credits the surge being a result of the show’s aforementioned two-day extension to become a week-long affair this year.

Over 48 new vehicles were launched or previewed during MAS 2025, which hosted over 200 exhibitors that brought over 500 vehicles on display across 50,000 square metres of MAEPS, Serdang.

Centred on its “Shifting the Future” theme, said attendees were treated to 48 new vehicle launches and previews conducted by over 200 exhibitors. Altogether, over 500 vehicles were displayed across a 50,000 square metre space.

As noted prior, over 51% of which comprised of electrified vehicles encompassing fully electric and battery electric vehicles (EVs/BEVs), hybrid vehicles (HEVs), as well as plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), thus highlighting Malaysia’s shift towards greener mobility.

In lieu of which too came the landmark introduction of a new Voluntary NxGV Labelling Scheme by MARii, which is aimed at certifying vehicles that meet Malaysia’s high standards for sustainability, safety, and innovation.

Interestingly, over 51% of the vehicles displayed at MAS 2025 consisted of electrified vehicles covering fully electric and battery electric vehicles (EVs & BEVs), as well as both hybrid vehicles (HEVs) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs).

In turn, MAS 2025 also upped the ante in terms of potential sales generation, which organsiers estimated to have been in the sum of up to RM1.72 billion. For reference, MAS 2024 reported potential sales valued at RM1.4 billion, marking a significant increase.

Much of this stems from the 3,194 new vehicle bookings placed at the show, accompanied by up to 1,512 prospective trade-ins, as well as 18,824 sales leads, reveals show organisers MARii.

The figures laid out puts the Malaysia Autoshow, organised by MARii, as the nation's largest automotive expo still.

“MAS 2025 was about more than cars; it was about building bridges between innovation, public engagement, and industry transformation,” emphasised MARii CEO, Azrul Reza Aziz. The exec adds that the institute remains focused on empowering every link in the mobility value chain too.

Adding to which was YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Abdul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, who said, “The success of MAS 2025 is a huge step towards achieving that objective, and towards strengthening the region’s next-gen mobility supply chain.”

Following a recent agreement with MAA, MARii has agreed to have the Malaysia Autoshow return in 2027. This frees up 2026 for MAA to organise the next instalment of its bi-annual Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) instead.
