- Hyundai Staria CKD Bookings Opened From RM179,888 Onwards
2025 Hyundai Staria launched in CBU form earlier this year by HMY. Today, order books for the localised (CKD) version have opened.

Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) have just opened up the order books for the Hyundai Staria large-sized MPVs range, which will now be locally assembled (CKD) at the Inokom plant in Kulim, Kedah.
As a refresher, the Staria MPV model was rebooted locally earlier this year in face-lifted 2025 model year guise and fully imported (CBU) form. Additionally, its arrival also coincided with the official establishment of HMY as the Hyundai brand principal in Malaysia.
The Kulim-built Staria is set to continue seeing four variants available plus foue exterior paintjob options too.

In its press release, the firm states all variants see four exterior paintjob options available – Jet Black, Snow Flake White Pearl, Meteor Grey and Stormy Sea. It also noted that starting prices remain unchanged, and it ranges between RM179,888 and RM267,888.
HMY didn’t elaborate further, but it is believed that the model’s existing range of four variants will also continue unchanged. We’ll refresh your memory by pointing out that the CBU version saw three 10-seater grades plus one sole 7-seater variant launched prior.
Under the hood, all Staria variants rolling off the line from Inokom share the same 2.2-litre 4-cyl turbo-diesel heart rated at 177 hp and 431 Nm.

All variants share the same powertrain package that firstly features a 2.2-litre 4-cyl turbo-diesel mill outputting 177 hp and 431 Nm. Secondly, the package also sees said mill get paired with a slick 8-speed automatic transmission.
As detailed prior, all 2025MY versions of the Staria gained minor visual enhancements. Included here were new brass-finished badges, headlight surrounds, grille, side mirror caps and bumper trims. Updated too are its 18-inch dual-tone rolling stock.

Notable feature and amenities on board include Nappa leather upholstery, digital instrument panel, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 360-degree camera, and more.

On board, all variants feature Nappa leather seat upholstery, massive 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 360-degree camera, 12-speaker Bose audio suite, and more.
Also take note that only the range-topping Prestige 7-seater variant boasts a full-suite of ADAS features. You can get to grips with the refreshed 2025MY Hyundai Staria line-up from our initial preview report and official launch report for it by clicking here and here.
