Police Confirms on Issuing Compound Notice Worth RM10,000
The Royal Malaysian Police or better known as PDRM has confirmed that they have issued a compound notice worth RM10,000 towards an individual who failed to scan the MySejahtera QR code during a visit to a restaurant yesterday.

The statement was confirmed by the Cheras District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamed Mokhsein Mohamed Zon.
“The compound was issued during an inspection by our team to ensure compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) at a restaurant in Bukit Jalil. During the inspection, the compliance officer has issued a compound for not registering through either the MySejahtera application or the register book provided by the shopkeeper,” said Mohamed Mokhsein.

“It is as provided under the Emergency Ordinance (Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases) (Amendment) 2021, whereby any individuals who violate the SOP can be compounded for RM10,000,” stated the Assistant Commissioner in a statement.
However, he continues to explain that the allegations by some parties that the individual had already registered through any of the channels provided are not true.
Beware Malaysians, let us ensure we follow the SOP given, or a RM10,000 fine might be waiting for us. Always remember that this compound is not just for failing to register through MySejahtera app, it can also be applied for inter-state offenders, failure on social distancing in public or your workplace and many more. Stay safe and healthy!
