Opel Astra “Breeds” In Russelheim - With Sheer, Edgy Surfaces, And Superfluous Features
Measured at 4374 mm long and 1860 mm wide, the New Opel Astra is built based on the third generation of EMP2 multi-energy shape, having a burst of speed as a significant improvement.
Exterior wise, Opel Astra received a new adaptive, glare-free Intelli-Lux LED Pixel light. The system is inspired by Opel flagships model Insignia and Grandland alongside its 168 LED parts compatible with its highly developed structure.
Stepping inside, a digital Pure Panel instrument cluster was integrated, adding more stylish graphics to its surface. On the other hand, the operation is via a large touchscreen.
In front seats, the space is adorned in-house by AGR-certified (Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V.) and carries outstanding comfort, especially on long routes. The driver also receives assistance systems called Intelli-Vision, enabling a head-up display to the 360-degree view.
The model clipped in vital settings as, after years, now the new Opel offers climate control where it works by toggling through a few switches.
Dynamic as ever before, the new model is manufactured at the Russelsheim plant, and 500 units have been produced. Available as a plug-in hybrid, the five-door Astra will finish its complete range by 2023, coming as a purely electrified vehicle.
According to Opel CEO Uwe Hocgeshurts, the new Astra has been developed with love and dedication down to the smallest detail. Having the car presented during his first time as the head of Opel gives a special bond between him and the model itself.
“Designed, engineered, and now produced at our traditional headquarters in Rüsselsheim, this newcomer will provide us with additional momentum. I am already looking forward to seeing the new Astra at dealerships and in the hands of our customers in spring,” he added.
