BMW And Gentari Activate 13 AC Chargers At TRX - RM0.25/Min

BMW Group Malaysia has partnered with Gentari to install new EV charging stations at The Exchange TRX, thus demonstrating their commitment to improving Malaysia's EV Charging infrastructure.
These new EV Charging stations, located at The Exchange TRX Mall's subterranean car park, includes thirteen 22 kW AC chargers, all optimised for quick charging. Five of these are on the Premium Parking level, while the remaining eight are on Level B1.

It is crucial to note that these chargers are only available during the mall's operating hours from 10AM to 10PM daily. As for charging costs, things are set RM0.25 per minute.
Benjamin Nagel, MD of BMW Group Malaysia, expressed his delight for Malaysia's progress toward electromobility adoption, particularly in densely populated areas. He emphasised the significance of a strong charging infrastructure to facilitate this expansion. He also added, "Through our partnership with Gentari, we are excited to further our commitment by introducing advanced charging technology in key urban areas, catering to the evolving needs of our customers."

Shah Yang Razali, Deputy CEO of Gentari and CEO of Gentari Green Mobility, also commented on the growth, emphasising the collaboration's contribution to Malaysia's energy transformation. "With over 335 EV charging points across the country, including over 100 DC fast chargers, Gentari is delighted to administer the country's largest DC charging network. This network significantly improves access to sustainable transportation options."

BMW Group Malaysia has now developed over 2,020 charging sites across the country through various cooperation. The company also maintains over 100 BMW i and MINI chargers at authorised dealerships and partner locations, with plans for future expansion.

Gentari remains Malaysia's leading charging point operator, focusing on compliance and safety with the largest network of licensed chargers approved by the Energy Commission. Furthermore, Gentari has launched Gentari Go App, that provides users access to over 2,000 chargers across Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand via cross-border roaming partnerships.
