Schneider Electric & JusEV Launches 180 kW DCFC At Plaza 33, PJ - RM1.60/kWh

Schneider Electric, in collaboration with JusEV, just established their first public EV charging station located at Plaza 33, in Petaling Jaya.
During the launch, both sides also ratified a partnership agreement to install over 100 chargers, with 10% of which set to be DC fast chargers (DCFCs), in both private and commercial buildings before the end of the year.

The Plaza 33 JusEV Charging Station will feature a dual-gun 180 kW Schneider Electric EVlink Pro DC unit and two units of the 22 kW EVlink Parking charger unit. This facility's charging rate is set at RM1.60/kWh for the DC charger and at RM1/kWh for the AC chargers.
Despite this facility’s launch, customers will not be allowed to charge their EVs here until the Energy Commission (ST) licence has been obtained. We think this is a smart idea as it lets us observe how quickly ST’s licensing procedure takes to complete.

According to Eugene Quah, Schneider Electric's Country President for Malaysia, the company is committed to helping Malaysia's mobility sector decarbonize in accordance with the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR), which aims to establish 10,000 EV charging points nationwide by 2025.
Meanwhile, JusEV Charging Network's MD, Jason Wong, stated, "We are pleased to be partnering with Schneider Electric, and this marks a significant milestone in our mission to drive growth within the EV industry."

Jason continued by adding that through this collaboration with Schneider Electric, JusEV has been appointed by the Selangor local council to deploy 50 EV Chargers throughout the state, consisting of 5 DC Chargers and 45 AC Chargers.
Furthermore, all charging facilities, including the EV Charging Station at Plaza 33, will allow payments using the JusEV app, which is integrated with an e-payment gateway. Users can recharge credits by FPX, Master & Visa, and e-Wallets (TnG eWallet, GrabPay, ShopeePay, Setel eWallet, MCash).

However, for users who prefer not to utilise the App, they can still charge their EVs using the POS terminal, which accepts both credit or debit cards. Voltality, an IoT company based in Singapore, manages the POS terminal integration.
