ChargeSini Partners G-Power To Expand EV Charging Network In Indonesia

ChargeSini has teamed up with G-Power Indonesia to expand its service network in Indonesia. The first charging station for this collaboration is located at the Grand Jati Junction Service Residence in central Medan.

This relationship is primarily geared toward the building of new EV charging networks across the republic. This contrasts starkly to the previously announced partnership with Charge+ Singapore, which sees both CPOs enter a roaming arrangement, allowing consumers to benefit without having to sign up for numerous apps.

Through this partnership with Chargesini, G-Power Indonesia gains from the transfer of information in terms of product knowledge, troubleshooting support and the right to use the proprietary apps that were built over time. Additionally, ChargeSini will supply G-Power Indonesia with AC and DC charging hardware in accordance with approved specifications.

We did our own checks and it appears the app used in Indonesia mirrors the ChargrSini app used here, and the charging stations in Medan are visible through the latter. According to the app, this station houses three (3) 22 kW AC units, whereas the charging rate is similar to Malaysia's at RM1/kWh.

Furthermore, from the picture, we can see that the Grand Jati facility also employs the ChargeSini parking barrier system, which is supposed to prevent "ICEing" by restricting entrance to the charging bay to users without a valid app booking.

Additionally, we were informed that G-Power would establish a few more stations in the coming months. This will be part of its efforts to develop the ChargeSini EV charging network in Indonesia, with an aim to repeat ChargeSini's success in Malaysia.
