2025 Lexus RX Refreshed with New F-Sport Design And Black Line Special Trims

Toyota's Lexus luxury arm has refreshed the RX mid-sized crossover SUV - one of the marque's top-selling model nameplates - for its latest 2025 model year guise.
As one of the Japanese L-marque’s best-sellers, the Lexus RX mid-sized luxury crossover SUV has been given a light refresh for its latest 2025 model year (2025MY) guise. Key new additions here a new F Sport Design trim plus a new Black Line Special Edition guise.
Starting with the latter and, as its name aptly suggests, this special is easily distinguished by its new Incognito-painted exterior with black accents, black 21-inch wheels, and contrasting orange-hued brake calipers. The same subtle two-tone motif is replicated in the cabin with grey contrast stitching.

Next comes the F Sport Design trim that, again as aptly suggested by its name, takes on a sportier stance over the base RX. This trim builds upon the Premium grade and is offered as an exclusive option for either the RX350 and electrified RX350h hybrid variants only.
Through the revised F Sport Design trim, the RX dons sharp F Sport styling touches including the front fascia, grille and rear elements. These are joined by black open pore wood trims lining the cabin, as well as 21-inch wheels finished in black.

Overseas, the 2025MY Lexus RX sees up to seven powertrain options offered – depending on market, of course. Nevertheless, much of which remains unchanged – typical of light refreshes as such. Expect Malaysia-bound 2025MY RX350 and RX500h to continue with existing powertrains.
As a refresher, Lexus Malaysia (UMW Toyota Motor) offers the RX350 primed with a 2.5-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol heart rated at 275 HP and 429 NM. The electrified RX500h, on the other hand, has the same mill, but added electrification sees it boasts peppier outputs of 366 HP and 460 NM instead.

Apart from the sportier new looks offered by both the revised F Sport Design trim and Black Line Special Edition, little else has changed in this fifth-generation iteration of Lexus’ best-selling mid-sized luxury SUV nameplate that came into production back in 2022.
However, take note that the Black Line Special Edition’s availability in dependent on market, and sees limited allocations. This is evident through the Toyota-owned luxury marque’s choice of allocating just 500 units of which for the North American market – arguably Lexus’ primary market.
