The second-generation Volvo XC60 has been refreshed for its latest 2026 model year (2026MY) guise featuring minor changes inside and out.

The second-generation Volvo XC60 has received another nip-tuck for its latest 2026 model year (2026MY) guise. Bowing earlier this week, there are a slew of minor changes to note inside and out.

Visually, the 2026 Volvo XC60 gains a new grille mirroring the 2025 Volvo XC90 with a revised lower front bumper design. At the rear, the taillight lenses are now darkened, there are new wheels design options plus a three new paint choices – Forest lake, Aurora Silver, and Mulberry Red.

Notable exterior changes can be seen up front via the new XC90-inspired grille plus revised lower front bumper design. Elswhere, there are new darkened taillight lenses, new wheel design options, and three new paintjob options.

Moving on board and the most notable change here is the adoption of a larger new 11.2-inch Google built-in infotainment touchscreen display that Volvo touts as being “designed to be a safe and enjoyable way”.

Said new infotainment unit is part of the Swedish marque’s roll out of its new infotainment user experience for all its products produced from this year. This will also be rolled out via over-the-air (OTA) updates for models manufactured as early as 2020.

One major change on board is the adoption of the new 11.2-inch Google built-in infotainment touchscreen display powered by the next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon Cockpit Live Platform chip.

Key to this revised infotainment is its adoption of a the next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon Cockpit Live Platform chip that enables Google built-in services-equipped units to operate twice as fast versus past systems, delivering enhanced responsiveness too.

Besides that, the 2026 Volvo XC60 sees its cabin now decked out its quilted Nordico upholstery and navy herringbone weave. Volvo also says the crossover’s cabin comfort levels has been enhanced further thanks to new laminated windows and optional air suspension.

Other changes on board include the switch to Nordico upholstery with herringbone weave, new laminated windows, newly added cabin purification function, as well as revised speaker mesh design.

Other new touches in the cabin include the addition of cabin air purification function, as well as a revised speaker mesh design for the top-shelf Bowers & Wilkins audio system primed. Beyond what we’ve detailed, it appears little else has changed.

Presumably, powertrain choices also remain unchanged, though Volvo didn’t shed light here yet.  European market models are expected to continue seeing its B5 250 HP 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbo, B6 300 HP 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbo- and supercharged MHEV, and T6 2.0-litre PHEV choices available.

Locally, the XC60 offered by Volvo Car Malaysia since its last major update in 2023 is the T6 PHEV, and it’s priced at RM357,888. Expect this revised model to arrive locally perhaps sometime later this year.
