AFA PRIME Bhd Issues TTA for KLK & LPT 1

AFA PRIME Berhad (formerly ANIH Berhad) is anticipating a significant increase in traffic on the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway (KLK) and East Coast Expressway Phase 1 (LPT1) during the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri travel period.
Traffic is expected to peak Eastbound between 27 and 30 March and Westbound from 4 to 6 April, with daily vehicle volume rising sharply.
Daily traffic on KLK is expected to increase by 70%, from 110,000 to 187,000 vehicles, while LPT1 could experience an 83% rise, from 41,000 to 75,000 vehicles per day.
To accommodate this influx, AFA PRIME Berhad is strengthening its operational capacity by expanding its toll and traffic division workforce by 21% and announced its Travel Time Advisory (TTA).

Additional Expressway Mobile Patrol Vehicles (EMPV) and RELA officers will be stationed at key toll plazas, rest areas, and congestion-prone locations to maintain smooth traffic flow.
Meanwhile, the Traffic Control Centre (TCC) will provide real-time monitoring and coordinate responses to road conditions, while tow trucks and emergency response teams will be on standby at strategic points to offer immediate assistance.
All petrol stations will be operational 24/7 and selected rest areas will be equipped with portable toilets and additional parking spaces.

AFA PRIME Berhad is also collaborating with the Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) under the Jom Balik Kampung initiative to distribute 2,000 iftar kits to motorists at the Gombak Toll Plaza on 27 March 2025.
For real-time traffic updates and emergency assistance, motorists can contact the LPT-Line at 1-700-818-700 or follow AFA PRIME’s official social channels - FB: Lebuhraya Pantai Timur and X: LPTTrafik.
