Good news for local racing fans attending the upcoming Super GT Malaysia 2025 race weekend. This week local racing ace Jazeman Jaafar confirmed his entry for the event, which takes place at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit (SIC) on June 27 and 28.
During a small announcement ceremony held earlier this week, the 32-year-old racing driver and entrepreneur revealed that he will compete as a wildcard for the event. At the same time, he also revealed a series of collaborations that led to this project.
Present to oversee said ceremony were Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM) president Tan Sri Mokhzani Mahathir and secretary Datuk Razlan Razali. Also present to witness the announcement was Youth and Sports Minister YB Hannah Yeoh.

Jazeman enters Super GT Malaysia 2025 as a wildcard in the hotly contested GT300 class under the EBM banner with co-driver Kerong Li, and they will pilot an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 EVO shod with Michelin tyres.
For this wildcard entry effort, Jazeman roped in rising Chinese GT racer Kerong Li as his co-driver. Additionally, both will collaborate and race under the Earl Bamber Motorsport (EBM) banner to jointly pilot an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 EVO in the series' GT300 class.
Additionally, said race machine will be shod with Michelin tyres too. As a refresher, Super GT practices an ‘open’ tyre regulation scheme for GT300 class competitors. Presently, the leading French tyre marque is one of four active tyre suppliers for the class.
“I’ve driven the Aston Martin Vantage before, but not with the updated EVO kit. I’ve been made to understand the aero has seen huge improvements, and we’re ready to take on the challenge,” expressed Jazeman optimistically ahead of his latest racing endeavour.

Though positioned lower than the main GT500 class, the Super GT GT300 class is touted as the region's most fiercely contested GT3 competitions.
Though positioned lower than the main GT500 class, the GT300 class is still widely regarded by many as one of the region’s hotly contested GT3 racing competitions. Adding to challenge is the fact both GT500 and GT300 classes race simultaneously at each round.
Notably, despite his vast racing CV, this effort marks Jazeman’s debut in the Japan-based racing series, which is widely regarded by many as one of the top motorsport championship series in the greater Asia-Pacific region.
Nevertheless, Jazeman is poised to bank on his recent experiences competing in GT3 machines at Petronas SIC. One recent highlight of which was his career-first GT3 class win at home in the recent 2025 edition of the Motul Sepang 12 Hours enduro.

For his Super GT entry, Jazeman will be banking on key experiences like his recent career-first GT3 class win in the Motul Sepang 12 Hours enduro earlier this year.
As reported prior, the return of Super GT racing to Malaysia following a 12-year hiatus was spearheaded by promoters Haro Sports & Entertainment. Furthermore, tickets are already on sale online from as low RM80 (early bird).
With Malaysia’s unique status as the series’ sole overseas round this season, managing director of Haro Sports & Entertainment Fahrizal Hassan anticipates the Super GT Malaysia 2025 weekend to generate a tourism receipt of approximately US$45 million (RM194 million).
"We are aiming to attract 80,000 fans over the three-day event, with around 30% to 35% expected to be foreign visitors,” adds Fahrizal further.
