2025 Mazda 3 1.5 High Plus Sedan & Hatch Bookings Opened, Est. From RM118,900
It appears that the discontinued 1.5-litre variant of the fourth-gen Mazda 3 is being revived by Bermaz.

More news from local Mazda brand custodians Bermaz. Besides the CX-60, Carz.com.my has learnt that the firm also green-lit its authorised dealers in accepting early pre-bookings for the new 2025 Mazda 3 1.5 High Plus variant in both sedan and hatchback (liftback) forms.
Yes, Bermaz already offers the updated fourth-generation (BP) Mazda 3 in sedan and hatch choices, but only in 2.0-litre form across three guises – High (sedan only), High Plus, and Ignite Edition (hatch only) – since its refresh in Oct 2023 priced from RM156,059 onwards.
Said point saw Bermaz quietly discontinue the 1.5-litre hatch and sedan variants first seen when the model debuted locally in 2019. As a refresher, these were offered in ‘Mid’ trimline and positioned as the entry-level offering to the Mazda 3 range then.

Critically, the reboot sees the Mazda 3 1.5 sedan and hatch arrive in higher-end 'High Plus' guise with upgraded features and amenities on board.

Now, the firm is rebooting the 1.5-litre variant locally, only this time it will arrive in a much higher-specced ‘High Plus’ guise. Surprisingly, the firm is also set to offer this iteration of its C-segment sedan and hatch fighter with an attractively lower price.
Presently, dealers are accepting pre-bookings for the new 2025 Mazda 3 1.5 High Plus sedan and hatch at an estimated price of RM118,900. In contrast, the 1.5 Mid guise previously offered costed much more at RM149,320 sans insurance.

Key upgrades on board will include leather upholstery, powered seat adjustment, automatic climate control, larger 10.25-inch infotainment display, and a full ADAS package.

Notably, despite the lowered price mentioned, the 1.5 High Plus trimline mentioned is also set to offer much more features and on board kit than the 1.5 Mid offered prior. Thanks to an insider source, we’ve been informed of the key highlights to which.
Included here are larger 18-inch wheels, automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, leather upholstery, larger 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, front and rear parking sensors on top of a reverse camera, LED headlights with Mazda’s ‘signature illumination’, and a full ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) package.
These upgrades replace the discontinued 1.5 Mid trimline’s offer of 16-inch wheels, manual climate control and seat adjustment, fabric seat covers, 8.8-inch infotainment display unit, halogen headlamps, absent parking sensors, and partial ADAS package.

Mechanically, this variant will harness a 1.5-litre 4-cyl mill instead of Mazda's usual 2.0-litre unit. The former offers 118 HP and 153 NM, and it's paired with a 6-speed automatic box.

In short, this entry-level offering will be rebooted with specs mirroring its 2.0-litre siblings. The only difference of course is the slightly less powerful but arguably more frugal 1.5-litre 4-cyl petrol direct injection mill it packs, which is rated at 118 HP and 153 NM.
Other things to note include the model’s continued status as a fully imported (CBU) offering, and that deliveries are slated to commence by Sept this year – the latter also applying to the CX-60 model mentioned earlier.
We can also expect the 2025 Mazda 3 1.5 High Plus to come with Bermaz’s usual comprehensive 5-year or 100,000 KM warranty and free maintenance package. Expect more details close to the model’s arrival date mentioned.
