WCE Sec 2 Toll Enabled; Responds to Klang Eviction Claims

Toll collection for Section 2 of the West Coast Expressway (WCE), which connects the SAE Interchange (KESAS) to the South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE) Interchange and the Banting Interchange, begins today, Friday, June 13, 2025.
The 7.2 KM stretch, which had been toll-free since its official opening on Jan 22 by the Works Minister, Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, now operates with full electronic toll collection, utilising Touch 'n Go cards, SmartTAGs, and RFID technology.

According to WCE, toll rates and payment systems for Section 2 are fully integrated via the SKVE through the Tanjung Dua Belas Interchange. Charges are calculated based on the user’s full journey, including any travel on the SKVE segment.
Highway users are advised to ensure their Touch 'n Go cards or linked e-wallets have sufficient balance before starting their journey to avoid inconvenience at toll plazas.
Further information about toll rates and payment methods is available on the WCE website, the WCE App, the WCE Infoline at 1700 81 6600, or via email at [email protected].
Additionally, in a separate statement, WCE also addressed recent concerns regarding land acquisition issues in Kampung Jawa, Klang, related to the WCE project.
The company clarified that the land in question was legally acquired by the Federal Government under the Land Acquisition Act 1960 for WCE, with RM9.8 million in compensation awarded and 75% already paid to landowners as of September 30, 2023.

Despite this, some landowners have remained on-site over the last 20 months, delaying the project’s progress. WCE reaffirmed that all procedures have followed due legal process and stressed that objections filed in court do not affect the government's right to take possession once compensation is paid and formal documents issued.
WCE also refuted allegations of forced eviction or unauthorised night operations, assuring the public that all works are carried out by registered contractors during permitted hours only.
The West Coast Expressway (WCE) spans a total of 233 KM, running from Banting in Selangor to Taiping (Changkat Jering) in Perak. It is a key component of Malaysia’s new expressway network.
The WCE is expected to ease traffic congestion while promoting development in rural areas along the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
