Huawei-BAIC’s Stelato S9T EV Wagon Unveiled in China

The first official images of the new Stelato S9T EV wagon have been unveiled in China ahead of its fall 2025 debut.
Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) has just announced its first electric wagon model in China, known as the Stelato S9T. Born out of HIMA’s partnership with automaker BAIC, the S9T is essentially the long-roofed estate twin of the marque’s flagship EV saloon, the Stelato S9.

Ahead of its debut later in fall this year, HIMA has published several official images of the new wagon. From the get-go, you can see that the S9T bears close resemblance to its saloon twin, featuring the same front face with its signature ‘Galaxy’ headlights. The wagon also rides on the same multi-spoke alloy wheels as the saloon, as well as flush door handles and several chrome trims on the window frames and side skirts.
Besides the similar front end, the S9T also gets the same ADAS equipment as its saloon twin, including the roof-mounted LiDAR unit, two LiDARs on the front fenders, and many more. Although not officially announced, these hardware are likely to be connected to Huawei’s Qiankun ADS advanced driving system.

Back to its design, the S9T looks pretty different and distinct from the S9 beyond the B-pillars, as it swaps the fastback roofline for an elongated roofline, giving it a sleek estate silhouette. For added practicality, the S9T’s long roof can be equipped with roof racks.
To accommodate this new roof style, the S9T features redesigned ‘Nebula’ taillights, plus an S9T badge on the tailgate in case you can’t tell the difference between the saloon and the wagon.

As of now, neither HIMA nor BAIC has announced the powertrain details for the new S9T wagon, but CarNewsChina reported that it will likely use the same battery EV (BEV) and extended-range EV (EREV) powertrain setups from the S9 saloon.


For reference, the BEV RWD variant of the S9 uses a single electric motor rated at 304 hp (227 kW) and 396 Nm while being juiced by a 100-kWh ternary lithium battery for up to 816 km of CLTC range. Meanwhile, the dual-motor BEV AWD variant gets an extra motor at the front for a combined output of 516 hp (385 kW) and 716 Nm, plus the same 100-kWh battery unit for a slightly lower CLTC range of 721 km.

As mentioned above, the Stelato S9T will be making its Chinese debut sometime later in fall this year, with no indicative prices unveiled for now. However, the electric wagon has big shoes to fill, as the Stelato S9 saloon was ranked as the best-selling premium NEV model in China last month, with 4,154 units sold in June 2025 alone.
