CelcomDigi Partners JomCharge & chargEV, 100 Charging Stations Planned

Telco giant CelcomDigi, in collaboration with leading EV charge point operators (CPOs) JomCharge and chargEV, is set to accelerate the nationwide expansion of EV charging stations, strengthening Malaysia’s growing electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem.
Through this initiative, CelcomDigi’s Innovation Centres will work alongside JomCharge and chargEV, to establish over 100 EV charging points by the end of 2025 at its facilities. These stations will be installed in high-traffic commercial areas, residential neighborhoods, and key roadside locations, making charging more easily accessible.

CelcomDigi’s Chief Innovation Officer, Kugan Thirunavakarasu, highlighted the company’s commitment to strengthening EV infrastructure. “With the increasing demand for convenient charging solutions, we are committed to blending connectivity with green technology to improve everyday experiences,” he shared.
Additionally, Kugan also highlights how this initiative aligns with CelcomDigi’s ESG goals. The firm aims to support clean energy and lower its carbon footprint through which.
Additionally, CelcomDigi customers benefit with RM10 discounts on charging sessions at selected JomCharge and chargEV stations from Mar 1 to Dec 1, 2025. This will be offered via discount codes that are redeemable via the Celcom Life and MyDigi apps.

Meanwhile, Lee Yuen How, MD of EV Connection (JomCharge), expressed, “By combining our expertise with CelcomDigi’s digital capabilities, we are creating a seamless, reliable, and widely accessible charging network.”
Similarly, chargEV’s Managing Director, ST Chua, stressed the importance of a strong charging network, stating, “This partnership helps eliminate range anxiety by providing a robust and convenient charging solution. Our goal is to ensure EV drivers can charge effortlessly, anytime and anywhere.”
With this collaboration, CelcomDigi, JomCharge, and chargEV will improve charging accessibility while providing incentives to encourage more Malaysians to embrace EVs as the future of transportation.
