The Proton Iriz is dubbed to be a game-changer for the national carmaker. It was developed new from the ground up with the aim to be sold worldwide.

The Proton Iriz 1.6L Premium CVT comes with an upgraded CVT automatic transmission. Apart from that, it received a makeover and now looks much sportier with new body finishes such as a dual-tone body kit and a sporty refinement for the interior.

The design is upgraded to suit a more modern and stealthy atmosphere with an all-black trim and panels accompanied by black leather wrapped steering wheel with red stitching as detailing finish.

Instrument Cluster

New backlit analogue gauges that are larger and more readable with clearer font type and a full-colour TFT-LCD multi-info display between them.

Seats

The Iriz 1.6L Premium CVT seats are made of semi-leather upholstery, with the side bolsters and headrest being upholstered in leather, while the backrest and seat base are fabric. It has a thick inverted blue line striking through the middle accompanied with red stitching as a detailing finish.

Space

Front occupants have no issues with space. However, the rear passenger may face a shortage of legroom, if there is a tall passenger in front who fully extended the seat.

The front of the Iriz comes with gloss black (instead of chrome) grille strip and an X50-aping lower grille surround, along with black plastic cladding and silver skid plates. The only Iriz model to feature the new LED headlights is the Active.

Rear View

The back exudes a sleek and simple layout with the rear bumper and black tailgate garnish from the 2019 facelift but the bumper strip is now red instead of chrome. It also comes with black plastic cladding and silver skid plates on the rear bumpers and side skirts.

Headlamps

The headlamps are made of reflector halogen units that have auto headlamp function, joined together with the grille making the top half of the front a looking like a one-piece design.

Tail Lamps

The tail lamps are made of LED combination units with a gloss black strip joining the two together.

Side Mirror

It is power adjusted and power folded with turn-indicators.

Wheels

Equipped with 15-inch rotor blade design two-tone alloy wheels.

The Proton Iriz 1.6L Premium CVT has ABS, EBD, ESC, hill start assist, traction and stability control and brake assist.

Passive Safety

Passive safety includes six airbags consisting of front, side and curtain airbags. It also has ISOFIX, front and rear parking sensors, seat belt reminders and pre-tensioners, front and side impact beams and crash sensors.

Infotainment

The Iriz 1.6L Premium CVT gets a 7-inch, Android based head unit with a 1024x600-pixel touchscreen, 16 GB of internal data, Bluetooth connectivity, and smartphone mirroring function.
