- Hot Rocket Racing Club Scores Podium Finish in 6-Hour Kart Race
Hot Rocket Racing Club solidified its credibility as both a motorsports club and talent development brand after achieving a podium finish in the recent Pinnacle Kart 6-Hour Endurance Race event organised by Kelab Karting Selangor (KKS). The club’s elite team, called ‘Rocket Nation’, finished third in said event.
The effort also sees the club achieve a 100% podium success rate in all the karting competitions it entered throughout 2022. The karting club officially started in March last year and took the Go-kart community by storm with their coaching, race events and online presence. To date, the club boasts over 500 registered members, and it aims to double this figure by participating in more karting competitions overseas too.
Besides the recent Pinnacle Kart 6-Hour Endurance event, the club also entered other events throughout 2022 such as the Traxion Supercar Owner Go Kart Championship series and the Kart Hauz 4-Hour Endurance Race event. In the former championship series, the club scored a win plus both a second and third place finishes, whilst the latter event saw the club claim a win there too.
Hot Rocket Racing Club credits much of their success to their unique driver development program. This is where drivers with exceptional skills from its community are identified and selected for development through competitions.
Elite drivers from said community are then tasked into the club’s aforementioned elite ‘Rocket Nation’ squad, and they are backed up with a secondary group called Hot Rocket Team A. The latter consists of the community’s top drivers too, but they serve as the club’s second runners – a la Alpha Tauri to Red Bull Racing in Formula 1 – and substitute drivers.
These aside, the club’s hierarchy also features a third team called Hot Rocket Team B. This serves more as a training ground for both up and coming drivers and race team managers in training. What’s interesting to note too is that all seats in each teams are refreshed after every race, and is opened to the rest of the community as a means to ensure drivers retain their competitive edge.
Go-karting aside, the Hot Rocket Racing Club also recently made waves in the e-sport realm after teaming up with RaceRoom Asia. Said venture sees the club apply the same talent-scouting and development efforts, albeit on the virtual racing front instead.
More details about the Hot Rocket Motorsports Club are available via its official website, HotRocketRacingClub.com, as well as its social pages (Facebook & Instagram).
