The Pagani Huayra R Simulator is As Bonkers As The Real Car!
The Pagani Huayra R racing simulator is as bonkers as the rear car it is based on!
It is a well-known fact that Pagani makes some of the most extravagant cars the world has ever seen, featuring a perfect blend of engineering marvels and unparalleled styling. However, it appears that the Italian boutique marque has not only mastered the automaking craft, but also the art of creating racing simulators.
Pagani’s latest masterpiece comes in the form of the Huayra R Simulator, a custom-built, high-end racing gaming rig that was developed by the automaker in collaboration with renowned simulator rig maker Racing Unleashed. As its name suggests, this extravagant simulator is built to resemble the manic Huayra R, designed to deliver an “authentically Pagani experience.”
Besides the similar design cues, the Huayra R simulator also uses the same carbon fibre founded on the actual hypercar.
For starters, the Huayra R Simulator sports carbon fibre pieces that came directly from the hyper it is based on, finished in a matching green and red colourway with a number 10 racing decal. Also similar to the real hypercar are the air vents present on this gaming rig, where all of them provide better cooling performance for the gaming rig’s high-performance computer.
Aside from the carbon-laden exterior, the simulator also comes with the same cockpit setup as the actual Huayra R, with the seat, steering wheel, and pedals all coming straight from the real hypercar. In place of the usual front windscreen is a massive panoramic display that helps gamers immerse themselves in the racing game like they’re actually racing the hyper in the real world.
Said display is mated to a 5.1 audio system featuring a set of speakers mounted strategically around the simulator. Should gamers want something more immersive, the Huayra R Simulator also comes with a dedicated VR headset, for good measure.
According to Pagani, the in-house engineering and design team have worked meticulously to ensure every detail of the Huayra R Simulator matches the real car, even down to the gameplay. This includes things like the handling, dynamics, and aerodynamic effects of the real car, all of which were “tested and validated in back-to-back trials by professional drivers and development pilots.”
The Huayra R simulator is intentionally developed to help owners get the most out of their Pagani cars.
More importantly, Pagani said that this new simulator is intended to help owners get familiar with their high-performance cars, helping them to improve their driving skills and familiarise themselves with many race circuits before they experience them in real life. This simulator plays a vital role in Pagani’s Arte in Pista programme, where the automaker organises exclusive track day events for owners at some of the world’s greatest, FIA-approved race tracks.
“We aimed to create a professional, dynamic driving simulator with an extraordinary level of immersion and realism, intending to contribute to the constant refinement of our customers’ driving styles,” said Franco Morsino, Pagani’s Vehicle Dynamic Lead.
“Our ambition was to transform it into a genuine design object, a product with artistic value destined to occupy a prominent place within the homes of Huayra R owners.”
The all-new Pagani Huayra R Simulator will initially be available exclusively to existing Huayra R owners, although the automaker will eventually offer it to the general public. Should they decide to sell this gaming rig as it is, the Huayra R Simulator could be the ‘cheapest’ Pagani you can buy in the market, although we’d reckon it’ll cost more than an average family car.
