Shell Malaysia's Launches 6 DC Charging Stations Nationwide To Beat Range Anxiety
EV users may now take advantage of Shell Malaysia's collaboration with Porsche Asia Pacific for fast, dependable, and seamless connectivity from Singapore, Malaysia, to Thailand via the region's longest cross-country EV high-performance charging (HPC) infrastructure.
The first Shell Recharge High Performance Charging station in Tangkak was launched, followed by the completion of all six Shell Recharge HPC locations in Malaysia.
These six stations are strategically located along the North-South Expressway (NSE) includes Shell Hentian Tangkak Lay-By (South Bound), Shell Hentian Pagoh Rest Area (North Bound), Shell Hentian RTC Simpang Pulai (North Bound), Shell Hentian Tapah RSA NSE (South Bound), Shell Hentian Seremban R&R NSE (North Bound) and Shell Hentian Seremban R&R NSE (South Bound), all within 200KM away from one another.
These Shell Recharge HPC stations are all equipped with 180kW DC chargers with built in two CCS Type 2 charging connectors enabling a single car to be charged with up to 180kW or shared 90kW if two vehicles are charged simultaneously. The charging time would vary from vehicle to vehicle.
To gain access to these chargers users would have to use the Shell ParkEasy app which allows users to reserve the HPC parking bay for up to 60 minutes in advance. This app could also be used to assist drivers in locating available bays and to lower parking barriers to gain access to the charger.
With Shell's already popular Deli2Go F&B extension accessible in nearly all of its stations, consumers can take advantage of this opportunity to take a break and enjoy an array of delectable Deli2Go choices or make use of the station's other amenities.
In a recent excursion to demonstrate the seamless and worry-free journey without any fear of range anxiety, a Porsche Taycan convoy powered by Shell Recharge travelled 741 kilometres from Johor Bahru to Ipoh.
