ChargEV x Kempower DCFC at Eco Galleria: Six Points, 320kW @ RM1.60/kWh

ChargEV quietly activated its High Output DC fast charging (DCFC) station in Johor Bahru at Eco Galleria @ Eco Botanic, Iskandar Puteri. Located in the open-air car park near the multi-storey parking ramp, features six Kempower satellite-style DC units capable of delivering a maximum output of 320 kW.
Carz.com.my understands that these Kempower units use dynamic charging technology, meaning the charging rate depends on your EV’s fast charging capacity and the number of vehicles plugged in at the same time. Don’t be surprised if your EV pulls only around 50kW when multiple chargers are in use.

For the best charging experience, it's essential to understand your vehicle's charging rate and curve. Additionally, unless you need the extra range, it's advisable to unplug when your state of charge (SOC) reaches 80%, as DC input typically tapers off after that point, leading to unnecessary time spent charging.

According to the ChargEV app, this facility charges a premium rate of RM1.60/kWh. However, if you're a ChargEV Yearly Essential Plan member (RM788/year), you’ll enjoy a 50% discount, bringing the cost down to just RM0.80/kWh for DC charging.
Currently, all charging sessions must be managed through the ChargEV app, as this station is not yet available on the Gentari Go or JomCharge apps despite this three CPO had entered into a roaming agreement last year.
