Previewed: 2026 Mitsubishi Xforce – 2 Variants, Est. From RM110,000
At last, after weeks of teasing, the 2026 Mitsubishi Xforce has officially arrived today via a special preview. Bookings for the model are now opened too ahead of its planned April launch.

The local B-segment SUVs marketspace just grew bigger today as Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) officially previewed the all-new 2026 Mitsubishi Xforce. Said compact crossover SUV offering is the latest entry in this highly competitive space.
Poised to rival against the Honda HR-V, Chery Tiggo Cross, the face-lifted Proton X50 and perhaps both the new Perodua Traz and its upcoming Toyota Yaris Cross twin, the Xforce arrives as a locally built (CKD) alternative with two variants on offer – Urban and Ultimate guises.
The Xforce is tentatively priced at RM110,000 for its base Urban variant, and at RM120,000 for its Ultimare range-topper.

Following today’s preview, MMM have officially opened bookings for the Xforce through its local dealer network. The estimate price figures presently read at RM110,000 for the base Urban guise, and RM120,000 for the Ultimate range-topper. Said prices will include a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty coverage too.
Set to officially launch in April, MMM is offering a RM5,000 rebate for the first 1,000 bookings, which effectively lowers the price to RM105,000 and RM125,000 respectively. Moreover, existing Mitsubishi owners and their immediate family members, on the other hand, gain an additional RM1,000 rebate to either trade-up or adopt the Xforce.

For now, MMM has elected to offer the Xforce locally as a pure ICE offering, which shares the same 1.5-litre 4-cyl mill as the Xpander but paired with a CVT automatic box instead.

For now, the Malaysia market version of the Xforce arrives as a pure combustion (ICE) offering. Carz.com.my understands that the hybrid variant – Xforce HEV – is marketed solely in Thailand, though MMM says it is studying said variant’s prospects closely.
Mechanically, the Malaysia-made Xforce mirrors its Indonesian market counterpart. It harnesses a 1.5-litre 4-cyl MIVEC petrol mill that’s shared with the Xpander, putting out 105 PS and 141 Nm to the front wheels via a CVT automatic transmission.

Striking design aside, the Xforce sees both its dimensions and weight conform to typical B-SUV figures.

Visually, the Xforce sports a striking and bold design. Key touches include the Japanese tri-diamond marque’s ‘Dynamic Shield’ front fascia flanked by T-shaped lighting pattern, muscular fender flares, blacked-out C-pillar, and 18-inch dual-tone rolling stock.
However, only the Ultimate range-topper gets both a bonnet model script badge emblem and tailgate spoiler added on – both of these are absent in the Urban guise, along with a few other amenities on board, which we’ll detail shortly. Said range-topper is also the only one to offer four selectable drive modes - Normal, Wet, Gravel and Mud.
As for dimensions, the Xforce sits 4,390 MM long with a 2,650 MM wheelbase, 1,810 MM wide and 1,660 MM tall. Coupled with its claimed kerb weight ranging between 1,235 to 1,250 KG, its easy to see how the Xforce conforms to this class of crossovers.

Key amenities brimmed include a dual-zone automatic climate control suite with rear vents, EPB, and digital displays, amongst many.

On board, the Malaysia market Xforce boasts a fabric-covered low-set dash, split-folding rear seats, leatherette upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear vents, as well as a front-facing digital video recorder (DVR or dashcam).
Shared across both too is an electronic parking brake (EPB) suite with auto-hold plus hill-start function, as well as the Mitsubishi marque’s unique Active Yaw Control driver assist tech.
In terms of displays, drivers in the Urban guise are treated with a 4.2-inch TFT multi-info instrument panel, whereas passengers gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that brings both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity plus a six-speaker audio setup.

Only the Ultimate range-topper benefits with larger displays, beefed up ADAS suite, powered tailgate, as well as an 8-speaker Yamaha premium audio suite.

Opt for the Ultimate guise and the amenities list is beefed up with an 8-inch digital instrument panel, larger 12.3-inch central infotainment touchscreen bringing wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as an 8-speaker Yamaha premium audio suite.
The Ultimate guise is further distinguished by its adoption of a wireless charging pad, blue cabin ambient lighting, nanoe X air purifier, additional rear DVR, fancier leatherette upholstery colourways, as well as a powered tailgate function brimmed.
Key ADAS featured brimmed in the Xforce Ultimate variant. Said range-topper also benefits with six airbags lining its cabin.

Naturally, advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features are reserved exclusively for the Ultimate. Here, it gets laden with Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Curise Control (ACC), as well as Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN) plus Auto High-Beam (AHB).
Said ADAS features come on top of shared basics like Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Lane-Change Assist (LCA), Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA), front and rear parking sensors, as well as a surround-view parking monitor. Different too is airbag count – just four are primed in the Urban instead of six in the Ultimate.
Given what we’ve just detailed, what do you folks reckon then? Would you consider this Mitsubishi alternative over its rivals mentioned? Share your take in the comments below then…
