KLIMS 2024 Draws 183,221 Visitors with Nearly 70 Brands Participating
The 10th edition of KLIMS 2024 has drawn over 183,221 visitors, with nearly 70 automotive & mobility brands participating.
The tenth edition of the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2024 (KLIMS 2024) concluded on a high note at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur. Throughout its 7-day stint, KLIMS 2024 has drawn a total of 183,221 visitors, thus signifying the success of the motorshow since making its comeback after the COVID-19 pandemic-induced absence.
With the theme of "Beyond Mobility," which focuses on bringing sustainability and electrification to the forefront, the motorshow has also gathered nearly 70 participating brands, ranging from leading automotive manufacturers to mobility-related ones. Some leading brands participated, including the two national automakers, Perodua and Proton, as well as renowned international marques like Toyota, Mazda, Kia, XPeng, GWM, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, GAC Motor, Peugeot, and many more.
Some of the highlights of KLIMS 2024 include an array of concept cars and prototypes, with the most notable one being the Perodua eMO-II EV concept, followed by the Honda Prelude Concept, which made its first Asia debut outside of Japan, a slew of ‘Beyond Zero’ concepts by Toyota, and the Nissan Hyper Tourer.
On top of that, KLIMS 2024 also served as the main stage for many automakers to officially launch their new products, including the new Kia Sportage CKD, the Toyota Corolla Cross facelift, the ninth-gen Toyota Camry HEV, the Nissan Kicks e-Power, the MG Cyberster, and the GAC Aion ES, to name a few.
To recognise the hard work and extra effort made by these exhibitors, KLIMS 2024 has also organised the prestigious Best Booth Design Awards, with UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) taking the grand prize for the OEM category, followed by Proton and Perodua in second and third place, respectively.
Not to forget, visitors to KLIMS 2024 were also delighted with exciting prizes and freebies, including the grand prize of a brand-new Toyota Yaris 1.5G Limited, which was driven home by Mohd Azzarain Abdul Aziz, while Leaw Xiu Qi took home the first prize, a brand-new Perodua Axia. These prizes, along with the show’s success, were also celebrated during the Appreciation High Tea hosted by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), where exhibitors were acknowledged for their creativity and innovation.
Commenting on the success of KLIMS 2024, MAA president Mohd Shamsor Bin Mohd Zain said, "KLIMS 2024 stands as a testament to Malaysia's expanding influence in the global mobility landscape. From cutting-edge automotive technologies to visionary prototypes, KLIMS 2024 exemplified Malaysia's commitment to shaping the future of transportation.”
“This milestone reaffirms our position as a key player in the global mobility ecosystem, inspiring collaboration and innovation across industries. We are excited to build on this momentum, driving progress and setting new benchmarks as we navigate the future of mobility,” he added.
