The Proton X Watch Is Now Available Via Proton Dealers At RM1,499
Proton has just released its own smartwatch, the Proton X Watch, which is available now through Proton dealerships nationwide where it retails for RM1,499.
The smartwatch was developed in partnership with ACO Tech - the same firm responsible for developing the ATLAS infotainment system in the X50 and X70 models. Speaking of which, said models are exactly what this smartwatch was designed to pair up and work with.
It features a stainless steel case and ceramic bezel assembly to house a rich 1.3-inch AMOLED HD Retina display that’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass DX+. ACO Tech also keenly notes the use of diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating that covers the watch and protects it against scratches and fingerprints.
Apart from that, the watch features both 4G-enabled and Bluetooth connectivity, the Joox music streaming app built-in, as well as a claimed battery life of up to 26 hours.
With the X Watch, it allows users to remotely control the door locks, windows, horn, lights, and trunk release across all variants of the X70. For the X50 model, specifically the Premium and Flagship variants of which, it gets all of the features stated plus the addition of remote ignition (engine start) and remote air-cond control.
On top of which, the X Watch also allows users to monitor vehicle status such as remaining amount of fuel left in the tank, fuel consumption rates, and the next service mileage point directly from the watch.
Beyond that, the X Watch also possesses typical smartwatch/fitness watch features. This is evident through the device’s inclusion of real-time motion sensing and up to 8 sports tracking modes that include running, walking, cycling, and mountain climbing. There’s even a 24-hour heart rate and blood oxygen sensor present.
Categorised as a Proton Genuine Part for the X50 and X70, prospects keen on acquiring the Proton X Watch can visit any major Proton showroom to purchase and or view and enquire about it.
