During the Golf Fan Fest 2024, VPCM celebrated the Golf's half-century by setting a Malaysian Book of Records entry with the largest ever Golf gathering held in Malaysia.
From the image shared, we can see a small ceremony was held by VGM to commemorate the occasion. This follows up from counterparts VPCM’s recent efforts through its Golf Fan Fest 2024 event held at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit celebrating the Golf’s half-century.
During said event, VPCM also set a new Malaysian Book of Records entry with the largest ever VW Golf model gathering totalling at 370 cars spanning multiple generations. At the same event, VPCM also launched the Golf GTI Edition 50 limited-run special priced at RM267,990 (with VAP).
VGM’s Pekan CKD plant has been in operation since 2012 where it first started assembling the B7-gen Passat sedan. It later went on to also churn our the Polo compact in both five-door hatch and four-door sedan forms, as well as the A6-gen Jetta mid-sized saloon.
