iCaur Malaysia Plans Local Network Expansion, CKD By 2026
The new iCaur 03 EV SUV launched last night by iCaur Malaysia sees two variants on offer - base 2WD priced at RM119,800 and a range-topping iWD guise tagged at RM129,800.

With its first offering officially launched last night, iCaur Malaysia has now set its sights on growing its local network. Moreover the firm is also poised to kick-start local production (CKD) soon as well.
As a refresher, the newest premium electrified sub-brand from Chery – operated as a stand-alone brand by Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia – officially launched its first offering, the iCaur 03, last night priced from RM119,800.

The iCaur 03 arrives as a fully imported (CBU) offering first for now. Come Jan 2026, iCaur Malaysia says it will begin local assembly (CKD) for the EV SUV at its Shah Alam plant.

It’s also worth noting again that Malaysia stands as the first global market to launch the iCaur brand and products. Certainly, parent firm Chery Malaysia, the local arm of Chery Auto Group – China’s leading auto exporter – are keen to develop things further.
Firstly, with the expiration of the Malaysian government’s tax breaks for fully imported (CBU) electric vehicles (EVs) by end of this year, iCaur Malaysia confirmed that the iCaur 03 launched last night will be localised (CKD) starting from Jan 2026.
Even with CKD operations commencing soon, we don't expect iCaur Malaysia to reduce its prices from which given that the firm has already successfully priced the iCaur 03 well below initial expectations.

CKD for the iCaur 03 will take place at the Chery Corporate Malaysia plant in Shah Alam, Selangor starting Jan 2026.

This means said EV SUV, which saw two fully imported (CBU) variants introduced, will roll off the line from the Chery Corporate Malaysia plant in Shah Alam, Selangor – the same facility where Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia localises its entire line-up.
Given how the firm launched and priced the iCaur 03 well below initial estimates, it is likely that the model won’t see any drastic price change once CKD assembly starts. Instead, customers can expect quicker delivery times.

By month's end, iCaur Malaysia will boast a network of 18 outlets nationwide with 9 of them being full-fledged service centres too. Also planned for Q4 are new outlet opening is Sabah and Sarawak.

Ahead of which, Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia vice president Emily Lek also highlighted plans to expand the iCaur brand network further during last night's launch event.
The exec said that by end of Sept 2025, 18 iCaur showrooms will become operational nationwide, and it includes 9 fully fledged service centres. Part of this plans too are new outlets opening in both Sabah and Sarawak within the final quarter (Q4).
